This is the absolute earliest we have ever put up a Christmas tree. It was son, husband, and myself trimming the tree with Christmas music in the background (complete with the Muppet’s Twelve Days of Christmas, and Bob and Doug Mackenzie’s version as well). Murphy made sure to sprawl out in any space where we needed to go but he was a good boy and didn’t attack any ornaments ( yet).
Here is the final outcome, but I still need to vacuum and put the tree skirt around the bottom. As you can see, my progress is somewhat hampered by a very tired supervisor. I can always vacuum tomorrow.
Beautiful! Love the photos of Murphy snoozing under the tree. HRH luuuuuved sitting on the Christmas tree skirt too, but I had to get rid of my red velvet one with the thick white yarn fringe because she would play very enthusiastically with the fringe and threaten to bring down the whole tree. So I replaced it with a quilted tree skirt -- no fringe, but big and comfy.
ReplyDeleteAnd "The 12 Beers of Christmas" -- haven't heard THAT classic in a while, LOL!
I can just picture her enthusiasm toward the fringe!!
ReplyDeleteAnd a beer… in a tree.
Ohh what a gorgeous photo! Pets are so hilariously helpful! I was going to put my tree up this weekend coming ( my earliest ever ) but it will be next weekend now as we are going over to see Miss 29 and the bump!
ReplyDeleteThat was me Rachel by the way from E28!! X
ReplyDeleteYes, hi Rachel! Hope you have a wonderful visit with your daughter!
DeleteSupervisor's prerogative - any good supervisor will tell you that.
ReplyDeleteYes, indeed!
DeleteThat's a beautiful tree. Hopefully the supervisor doesn't decide to climb it!
ReplyDeleteWatching hoomens with all those shiny sparkling things is SOOO tiring. I is exhausted and must take a nap where I can be on guard of this strange thing in my house.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful tree & a very handsome supervisor. Let the holiday magic begin. ... Mary-Lou =^..^=
ReplyDeleteYour supervisor approves of the tree and finds it his new favorite resting place. Resting is good and much preferred over swatting ornaments or worse climbing the tree. Many years ago, my kitty did both. Sweet handsome Murphy.
ReplyDeleteDon't disturb the Superviser. He looks completely knocked out after all the hard work.
ReplyDeleteI think it has the whisker of approval! It looks really nice. This will be the second year in a row with no tree for us ~ puppies :-)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos and Murphy looks adorable under the tree.
ReplyDeleteYour tree is lovely and your supervisor is adorable. (Love your new banner, too!) I like seeing a cat under a tree. Stimpy always loved being there, Gypsy a little and Lizzie, not so much. But who knows this year -- she's a changeable girl! How nice to have it done. I'm hoping we can get ours up by the weekend. I need it!
ReplyDeleteYou certainly got that tree up quickly. Ours is still bare except for some lights. Ornaments will be added a few daily as I reminisce over each...
ReplyDeleteAnd I love Murphy under the tree... really miss our cats (and they loved to sleep under the tree. Even climbed up and knocked a few ornaments down during the night.)
Tree is so pretty and kitty is too cute
ReplyDeleteYou caught him napping on the job.
ReplyDeleteMy Toby cat was a tree skirt terror. Your tree is so festive!
ReplyDeleteThe tree is lovely!
ReplyDeleteGive the poor overworked supervisor a break looks like I feel. :-)
Just beautiful. Love that Murph...
ReplyDeleteSupervising...or waiting until you back is turned, to play with low hanging delights!
ReplyDeleteYour tree looks lovely as does the resting supervisor. Just starting to decorate here. Hopeful that I will finish very soon.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Beautiful tree. At least Murphy was more interested in snoozing than bopping ornaments. :)
ReplyDeleteIt seems as though your cat has commandeered the tree.
