Do you see a resemblance?
Everybody likes bacon.
Hope you have a great evening. We've had three children come to our door so far. We haven't had many these last couple of years, but it isn't snowing or raining, so maybe we will have more. I just finished my Hallowe'en meatloaf. I plan on eating candy once the kids are done doing their trick or treating.
You guys look great! We've had 8 kids that may be it.
ReplyDeleteWe're at six kids and it's already 8:30 at night. I doubt we will get anymore.
DeleteOh I love your costumes!!.. Sadly, we don't get any kids. Haven't in years.. The churches hold the "trunk or Treat so the parents take them there. Its really sad children today can't trick or treat like we did when we were younger.. LOL Just love your costumes :)
ReplyDeleteI don't know about trunk or treat. Kids still do regular trick or treating here.
DeleteOMG...did you hear me? I GUFFAWED at the sight of your hubby lol lol lol...I remember your banana from last year! Great costumes ha ha! Happy Halloween!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Rain. He did look very funny in that costume. I took that picture in the store when he was trying it on.
DeleteThat's the bacon bringing home itself eh?
ReplyDeleteHa ha, better that than a banana joke!
DeleteBacon and a banana, eh? Yeah, I could go for that at breakfast time. Hee-hee. Did you two go to a Halloween party or are you just dressed for answering the door?
ReplyDeleteWe don't get any trick or treaters out here. Years ago, the three little girls (who are now three big girls) to the west of us would stop in before their parents took them to their church's Halloween celebration, but no little ghosts or goblins stop anymore.
We have jobs where we dress up for Hallowe'en. As I responded to someone earlier, we have now only have six kids. Even a few years back we would get 30 or 40. I watched a news segment out of Toronto tonight where people who really decorated their house for Hallowe'en said they generally get between 750 and 1000 kids!!!!
DeleteI love the costumes! My parents live in the middle of nowhere and get as many as 50 trick or treaters. We haven't had one since our neighbor with kids moved. Still, we buy candy, just in case😀
ReplyDeleteOh certainly, you wouldn't want to be caught empty handed!! (I am now forced to eat the candy that is left over!)
DeleteHAHAHA! You both look great. Happy Halloween!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Martha!
DeleteThat bacon costume is awesome. Perfect for a real man!
ReplyDeleteThere was a variety of choices - he could have been a slice of pizza, a jar of hot sauce, a piece of paper (it was supposed to go with rock and scissors, but those costumes were already gone).
DeleteHaha you look great. We only had one caller so I've got a lot of chocolate to eat.
ReplyDeleteWhat a shame!
DeleteHappy (post) Hallow's Eve ... we had a total of 36 kids at the door & the streets were empty by 7:30. Enjoy the candy!
ReplyDeleteBy the end we only had 6. I guess they are being driven to the closest town instead. We are at the end of a dead end street as well, so maybe they just don't bother going as far as us.
DeleteYou two are too adorable. I got the streaky bacon right away -- that's actually pretty brilliant, and what's not to love about bananas? We went through almost four bags of candy -- there were about a dozen bars left for Rick to take on his trade show roadtrip this morning (and a few we munched on beforehand!)
ReplyDeleteNot one little goblin came here?
ReplyDeleteMe too......not a single knock.
DeleteHow fun! You guys look great.
ReplyDeleteI almost forgot it was Halloween until I went to visit my guy at work and a 60 something gal came in dressed as Bat Girl with EEEENORMOUS tatas just BARELY contained in the costume. Most the men in the restaurant had a ridiculous smile on their face and, with little success, kept trying hard not too look. It was pretty funny to watch.
We had more after 7:30 than before. I guess that means our neighborhood kids are all growing up. Cute costumes!
ReplyDeleteI didn't buy any candy as I was going to be out for the evening and we usually don't get any kids. Wouldn't you know it, there was a ding dong before I managed to sneak out - it wasn't even dark out! I didn't answer the door but I saw quite a few trick or treaters on my street as I left - maybe the neighbourhood is changing.
ReplyDeleteHahahaha......you both look Great!....happy weekend love Ria x
ReplyDeleteFabulous :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your photographs.
All the best Jan
Banana and bacon make a good combo and both one-piece costumes. Meatload and candy treats seem like a good way to celebrate!
ReplyDeleteHow in the world did I miss this post?!? I LOVE those costumes! Two of my favorite foods!!!
