There are so many choices of toppings for pizzas now, as well as crust variations (regular, thin crust, gluten free...). If you go to a restaurant that specializes in pizza, the options are a bit mind boggling. Anything from sundried tomatoes to chicken, Caesar sauce to multiple kinds of meat, hamburger to feta cheese is available.
I am not pizza compatible with my husband. He likes anything that involves meat. Tonight he had pepperoni, mushrooms, bacon, and anchovies. Usually Italian sausage plays a part as well. Blah - I didn't even want the anchovy-tainted air touching my pizza.
I, on the other hand, had pepperoni, mushrooms, onions, and green olives. I also requested thin crust to cut back a bit on calories (won't bother mentioning how many slices I had thereby defeating the whole purpose of thin crust).
Now, my lovely people out there in internet land, could we share a pizza, or are you an onion hater? Do you prefer a Hawaiian pizza? Veggie only? Or would you be shoving my husband aside and grabbing a slice of "meateor pizza"?

No sharing for us at my house. When I make pizzas, Tim gets the Caveman Grunt and do the Veggie Diary-Free Deluxe. Both on spelt, love that.
ReplyDeleteSo ... how many pieces did you eat? Half the pie? Come on, I won't tell anyone :-)
Wow, you make your own pizza? That's impressive. No, I did not eat half. It was less than half. And it WAS thin crust.
DeleteOh yeah, it's great fun.
DeleteHahaha, I was just teasing you about the half, though back in the day, when I could eat pizza out, I was able to down an entire medium thin crust in one sitting.
Oh, no problem. Pizza is something that's just too darn good when it's fresh and hot. Four. I ate four slices. But it was soo good. No regrets.
DeleteNo regrets. I agree with you. Actually, I have to be honest, I never feel regret over foods.
DeleteJust got back from the market and got a little over two and a half kilos of organic broccoli. I am a happy camper.
Do you eat pizza for breakfast? Yum.
Thin crust. Feta cheese, tomatoes and onions. Mmmm!
ReplyDeleteMy husband. Meat lover's. Regular crust. Blah.
I had chicken wings tonight. Yummy!
MMMMMmmmm that sounds good. I love tomatoes when they are in season.
DeleteI just stick with cheese most of the time.
ReplyDeleteA purist.
DeleteI like plain and simple, margarita, cheese and tomato. Usually make my own, specially when the grandkids are here. Make a big tray with loads of grated Gouda.
ReplyDeleteWe're like you, out of delivery range. But bought pizza will probably be frozen, on special
I'm feeling like the only one who doesn't make her own pizza! I think the idea is not having to cook, taking a night off from making supper.
DeleteHi Jenn... I could definitely share a pizza with you and my Mister would drool at the thought of sharing your hubby's pie. Have a wonderful week!
ReplyDeleteThanks Katie!
DeleteIt must be a male/female thing. My hubby is right with your hubby but I wouldn't miss any of the meat on mine. Well, I do like pepperoni. Our daughter loves pineapple, onions and green olives. No thank you. ;o}
ReplyDeleteI would enjoy your daughter's choices, too.
DeleteI'll have your pizza. Those are exactly what I would order and when we make it at home, what we use. (Sometimes we'll add spicy Italian sausage which both of us like, too.) I LOVE the green olives!
ReplyDeleteAhhh, another person who makes their own pizza! You know, I just fear making yeast based things. I think it would be too difficult. Perhaps I'm wrong.
DeleteMushroom and sausage, please. Or just mushrooms and cheese. I continue to order thin crust and then eat more because I'm saving all of those calories! Ugh. We bought a Pizza Que for camping and on the patio. Best. Pizza. Ever.
ReplyDeleteIt's an easy party and everyone loves it!
I'm assuming a Pizza Que is like a Barbecue, but for pizza. It sounds like a fun thing to do.
DeleteThin crust pepperoni please. Oh, and I quite like Hawaiian pizza too. Fact is, I'll eat anything!
ReplyDeleteYup, I like Hawaiian as well.
DeleteI usually go with a vegetarian version but, truth be told, anything will do. I do love anchovies on my pizza for a salty bite. Where are you on pineapple?
ReplyDeleteI actually quite like pineapple on a pizza!
DeleteMy husband is also the caveman. He must have meat. And he loves anchovies on his pizza. No thank you! I prefer mine without any type of meat, although a little pepperoni is okay sometimes. I would enjoy the type you had. Veggies and some feta cheese on mozzarella with a good load of tomato sauce works for me. And thin crust. Definitely thin crust!
ReplyDeleteI'm not a fan of tiny fish - anchovies, sardines... Feta cheese is lovely on anything!
DeleteWe have to do the same: order, then drive in to pick up. We've found a delightful authentic Asian fusion restaurant. We ordered enough for variety and for today, as well! Yay leftovers!

love pizza
