Seems to me this is a much more logical time of the year to celebrate the fall harvest than the end of November. American Thanksgiving has never made sense to me as the weather is not at all conductive to an outdoor feast in New England at the that time of year. BTW, American here. :)
I always felt that Americans finish up Thanksgiving and then start on Christmas. Too stressful! Ha ha. I like when ours is, as we often have lovely Fall colours.
Happy Thanksgiving Jenn to you & yours. We are certainly blessed to live in this magnificent country. Like you, we are having our Thanksgiving dinner today & I was up early making traditional pumpkin pie & a new to me recipe for two layer pumpkin cheesecake. I'm exchausted now (col). ... Mary-Lou =^..^=
Fun graphic! Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!

DeleteUncanny. I must have a secret Canadian gene because I just bought the fixings for a pumpkin pie, which I'll now bake in solidarity.
