Husband was in the pool with him and I took the picture from the deck. It was such a lovely hot day for September the 11th!! We normally are never in the pool at this time of year!
What you don’t see in the picture is husband within arm’s reach. He just guides the float board over to our pool steps and Murph steps off onto the top step which isn’t covered with water. He is truly the most unique cat we’ve ever had! He will even hang out with husband when he has a bath and will step down on him, not minding being a bit wet.
Of all the cats we've had over the years, we only had one that really liked water. Julie would love it when I ran a bath... and would lie on the side of the tub with her paws in the water. She also would put her head under a faucet that was running. So, yes, some cats do seem to like water... and apparently Murphy is one.
now who took this photo I wonder?

That is one super brave cat. Much respect from Tigger.
ReplyDeleteHe's a little strange in that he's not really bothered by water.
DeleteWhat a great cat. Lovely you could take the photos. He's a star
ReplyDeleteHAHA! Love this. Nothing like a cat chilling out.
ReplyDeleteI am truly impressed. I can't imagine any of my cats (past or present) willing to do that. The question is, how does the cat get out of the pool?
