Happy happy, joy joy. I saw Miss Ashley yesterday and she sat me down and repaired my worst hair cut ever. I shall always go to Miss Ashley from now on. She's "young", she's funny, she shares all kinds of details about her life that people might not... and she fixed my hair.
Hair is a fairly big deal to me. I have "unfortunate" hair, as I've mentioned before. My cousin says we have "Scottish hair". Not sure what that means, but I know she has long, frizzy, slightly naturally wavy hair, now silvery grey. If that's Scottish, then I I guess she has it, and some day when I quit colouring it, I'll have it too.
It is obvious how big a deal hair is to me by looking at things that I have pinned in Pinterest. Let me share a few with you just for fun, and because I have nothing else to post about:
Have a great day, all.
GREAT hair pics! I actually laughed out loud at the last one. (Sad thing is, I know someone who looks remarkably like that. :o\) Thank your lucky stars for Miss Ashley!
ReplyDeleteShe's one of my favourite human beings right now!
DeleteOh, my. I'm reminded of my feathered hair phase...not great.
ReplyDeleteSalons are still closed down here. I'm starting to look like a shaggy Jan Brady.
I can picture that.
DeleteLove love love it! Agree with MP on the last photo.
ReplyDelete:)
DeleteVery funny! Happy New Hair to you, Jenn! And congrats on finding Miss Ashley. Like doctors, it's very important to find someone young enough to guide us through our dotage.
ReplyDeleteI agree!
ReplyDeletei have the fortunate/unfortunate hair it always looks the same no matter how one tries to cut or if the barber is good or bad.
ReplyDeletePredictability can be comforting.
DeleteSo glad you got your hair fixed and now feel better about life! And you've found a new hairdresser you like.
ReplyDeleteActually, I've been to her a couple of times before, but she has moved about, and of course had to shut down due to Covid. She came back to work when her baby was just wee little because she needed the money due to losing business. I tipped her.
DeleteHooray for Miss Ashley. Don't leave her, ever! I like a good haircut, too. My full sympathy for the disaster.
ReplyDeleteYes, I believe I've read some of your posts about getting your hair cut. She's actually a lot of fun. For me to enjoy talking with a hair dresser is a miracle in itself, so I plan on keeping her from now on.
DeleteSounds a good one, worth keeping!
DeleteSo glad you are happy with the haircut. Fun images.
ReplyDeleteWe had to look up eating Tide Pods. Seriouusly? Liked the laughs tho.
ReplyDeletePs love you black-eyed susans at the top too.
ReplyDeleteThank you for letting me start my day lauging :-)
ReplyDeleteScottish hair thing has various meanings..
ReplyDeleteMostly to do with the 'Hair' family, and
that Scottish hair is mostly thick and black..
And..A member of the Hair family migrated to
Canada..Patrick P Hair, arrived in Nova Scotia
in 1826...
The family also settled in USA..New Zealand...!
Love the jokes, especially the end one..reminds
me of a girl l went out with once..HeHe! Ugly..
And..'MY' hair is a BIG deal to me..still..!
The old Afro is a bit thinner..but still looking
good! :).
In my late teens, early 20's l could put a ruler
into my hair, onto my scalp, and it would measure
9inches, to the edge of my hair..ALL over..! :).
Ah! the 60's..wish they'd come back..! :O).
Love them! Big day for me on Tuesday! Hairdresser is coming!
ReplyDeleteThat Tide Pods one, LOL!
ReplyDeleteThe hair pix crack me up. I'm glad you got "fixed." I don't know what to do with mine. It's really hideous right now -- very two-toned. I have some color to put on it but does that just delay the inevitable?
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh I remember the frizzy perms I use to get. Yikes!!! Glad you could get your hair fixed.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Kris
I have a photo from the 80's, a huge frizzy perm. Why I thought it ever looked good is beyond me. Glad you were able to get your haircut done right.
ReplyDeleteTake care and stay well!
Love these hair pics. I almost always wore my hair up in a pony tail, so trends did not really affect me. I was lucky, my hair was long and naturally wavy. I did not dare have a perm or use rollers because then my hair became very frizzy. I'm glad you got your hair fixed so that you are happy with it. You have a wonderful day, hugs, Edna B.
ReplyDeleteHa ha ha ha...I think I have Scottish Hair too...Most days I just give up, but I often have to load it with conditioner and use the straight iron. I"m happy you got your hair fixed!!!
ReplyDeleteA good hair day! Yay for Ms. Ashley.
ReplyDeleteThese are so funny! Especially the last one. And to think, I pay to have frizzy hair. :) I have an appointment Wednesday for a perm.
ReplyDeleteI meant to tell you too, your garden is absolutely beautiful! I do wonder what is eating your bean plants.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you got your hair sorted and are happy with it. Love the photos especially the last one.
ReplyDeleteYeah to getting your hair sorted to where You are comfortable with it again. Miss Ashley sounds like a treasure discovered. ... Mary-Lou =^[..]^=
ReplyDeleteI know nothing of Scottish hair, but my mother told me I had 'Shropshire knees' (like hers).
ReplyDeleteI usually let my hair grow longish and just put it up, so not such a problem for me. I cut my own fringe. I did however after all these years decide to let it go gray. I used to colour my own hair most times in any case, and I could have continued to do so. Last time I did was February and now I'm just letting it go. Who do I actually see? I feel also that I may never buy another piece of clothing. Your hubby and my boy would have a lot to talk about. He does belong to a Miata Group. Each year they drive The Tail of The Dragon, in NC. Wish you well in these times. You're certainly doing better in Canada.
