I was going to post "It's raining Again" by Supertramp, but there isn't a whole lot of rain in it and it's rather whiney. "It's Raining Men" doesn't really project my meaning either. So here goes:
I am less enthusiastic about the rain than good ol' Gene Kelly, but the quantity of rain is just about accurate. UGHHHHHHH.
It could be worse. It could be snowing, but I understand how you feel. It's making you down and you're not very happy about it. Enjoy it while it lasts. It won't be forever.
After a few really beautiful days here, I think you've sent the rain over to Northern Michigan! Well, it gives me time to do inside stuff -- but it's getting a little old (and it's only day 2, but day three is predicted.) But I love the clip -- my favorite movie!
I feel your dampness. We have brief little blips of non-rain, but everything is saturated. I don't know how the farmers are going to make it out into the fields to cut hay.
Up here in northern Minnesota we've had a very wet spring and now it's still raining into summer. Haven't had to water the garden at all. I went out in the rain this morning because I knew I had broccoli to harvest and brought in two slimy slugs (eeewww!), but I'm surprised I haven't found more of them. Everything sure is green though. Bad thing is our pond is threatening to spill over its spillway . . . which means that whole side of the pond could go. Some sunshine, please!
Love that video clip, great movie :-) Hope it lets up for you soon. We went through that a few weeks back, the flowers needed it but I was done after about 3 days straight, lol. Hope you have a great weekend!
Happy Birthday to you from Beatrice & fellow celebrant Grenville who thanks you for the birthday wishes too. Thanks for the blog visit and we will visit again and invite you to do the same.
I've given up on dry weather.
ReplyDeleteRain especially after a dry spell is great. Warm greetings!
ReplyDeleteRain here in Maine today also.

Oh how I wish you could send a very good dose of it over here.
ReplyDeleteSo jealous! House swap?
ReplyDeleteWe have the same here right now! I'm glad I don't have to water, that's a good thing!
ReplyDeleteWe are having rain today as well. Not as much as a couple of days ago and I am thankful for that.

ReplyDeleteWhen we heard the rain pouring down again last night, Alex and I just looked at each other with frustration, it is getting tiring isn't it?
ReplyDeleteWe are just the opposite here. We've been baking for weeks now.
ReplyDeleteA thunderstorm just rolled through and we were thrilled! lol

ReplyDeleteSame here. I think we get it about a day before you (near T. Bay). Maybe if I take Gene Kelly's attitude everything will be okay.

ReplyDeleteI don't like musicals, but love that one, very funny.
