Happy Earth Day- Look who I Found!

I spent quite a bit of time outside today cutting back perennials, edging part of one bed, doing a bit of weeding, moving the cat…

I almost didn’t see this little one:

Here are a couple more pics so you can get a better idea.

Here is WHY I almost didn’t see him. Have a look at this bark and piece of a branch with moss on it.

Well done on the ol’ camouflage little buddy!!

I researched and found out this is a Gray Treefrog. Now you know.🙂

    1. But he was very small and didn’t jump anywhere! I don’t think he would have given you significant willies!

  4. What a cute little buddy. We don't have as many frogs or toads here any more and I miss them.

    God bless.

    1. We have a lot of “wild” land around us and properties where people don’t live full time, so that probably helps with our critter count.

  5. It's obvious why you almost did not see the frog.

  10. Gorgeous fellow! I found one in my bok choy a few summers ago, in his green camo suit... I carried him to a tree, as tree frog be he...and he clambered up on the branch I held him next to, in that long legged froggy way, then he peered down at me. Love all frogs!

  11. Very interesting. There is a small toad/frog in our area, in which you do not want to touch. I can't remember what it was, but a daughter tried to rescue one, and it made her face break out in a read rash, and hands if I remember. That was is very interesting looking.

    1. No, that’s the actual colouring of the frog’s skin.
