Do you Smell Bacon?

"Do you smell bacon?"  That's what my principal said when she stuck her head in my class this morning to say hello to my kids.

I'm really not a huge Hallowe'en person, but the kids like it when their teachers dress up, so yes, I was bacon. Who doesn't love bacon?? Very Canadian of me.

Here is my driving to work picture:

It was that dark when I started off this morning.   This is not to be confused with a previous year's driving to work picture:

I've changed food groups.

Just so you know, it rained ALL DAY LONG.   Yes, Hallowe'en combined with two indoor recesses, and no scheduled gym time. It was delightful.

  1. I remember your last year's costume and, yes, you are stuck in a food rut. I bet the kids just love it when you dress up for Halloween!

  2. You are the second North American here to dress up as bacon. I am not sure I understand it really, but there is scope for jokes about bringing you home.

  10. Even with the nastiness of last night's weather the kids were all out & I cannot imagine that level of excitement contained indoors. Thankfully (?) this is your last year, so bravo to you making such a delightful effort. ... Mary-Lou =^..^=

  14. Love it! What a great costume. Our culinary arts students all know that Bonnie loves bacon, so I may have to steal your costume idea next year.

  15. What a creative idea! I have not dressed up in years, Usually I'm storytelling on Halloween anyway, so I wear something Halloween-ish but not a costume. You look great!

  22. I would actually be happy to eat bacon with a banana. I would eat bacon with anything! You are an incredibly good sport. I can't imagine that was a comfortable get-up to spend the day in.
