  1. Now we know all we need to know about you, Jenn. You are very honest, I don't think I would have the guts to share so much!

  5. Cuba!

    When did you go?

    What was it like?

    Why did you go?

    1. We went a couple of times now, once to Holguin, once to Santa Maria. I can't remember specifically when we went, but in the last few years. Cuba itself is, in some places, like a third world country. Honestly, we were at resorts, which isn't the real world. Vacationing in Cuba requires a different mind set if you are used to vacationing in other parts of the Caribbean.

    2. It sounds like an adventure!

You should do a post about it.

Someone I used to work with went years ago and, if I remember correctly, had to fly somewhere else first because Americans could not fly there directly.

    3. No restrictions on us, Canadians. I have a friend who really experienced Cuba so much more. She hired a man and his brother who spoke better English than he did to drive her and her sister around through Havana in one of those old cars. She's far more adventurous than I am.

  7. I always love reading these lists! Someday we'll have to add Michigan to your places visited!

    1. Oh, but I have been to Michigan! (I was limited to four places). I have shopped in Michigan, I have spent a great time at the Henry Ford museum, and believe or not, hubby lived in Detroit for a short time! I knew one route to get to his place (we weren't married yet), and one way to get home. Heaven forbid if there was construction! (No GPS in those days!)

    2. Oh, and I've been to the home of Motown, Hittsville USA, twice!

  8. O.K., something weird just happened when I tried to reply. I wonder if it had something to do with no more google +? Anyway, I was going to say, yes, please borrow, as I just did. This is a nice type of post to write when you don't have anything particularly different going on in your life. :)

    1. It's only taken four years for me to reveal some things about myself! Ha ha.

  10. You must be a very private person . . . as nothing you wrote was shocking, upsetting or scandalous. Oh, you mean you don't HAVE anything shocking, upsetting or scandalous to tell! Hee-hee. ;o)

    1. Oh, if only that were true. (well, maybe no scandalous).

    1. Smells are so 'personal'. I asked husband to guess which ones I said and he got most of them.

  14. Going by own blog I don't think this is giving away much about you but thanks anyway. Nice to know your favourite foods and drink!

    1. No, I didn't think I was revealing anything terribly secretive either (re: first comment) except maybe the last name. I did think twice about that.

    2. That first comment was what prompted mine!

  15. A fun post Jenn. One of my sisters lived in Mount Forest & I always liked visiting there. I bet Mom is your favourite name to be called (col). ... Mary-Lou =^..^=

    1. Yes, I love being called 'mom'. My kids are both funny, so sometimes they say, "Mother!!" and then it's a whole different meaning. When they were little, all ever heard was, "Mom!" or even "Mommy!" (I'm sure I'm not alone in that).

  19. Well I have never had one of those blizzards - you have me curious :-)

    1. Oh, it's the best. It's the combination of smooth and crunchy!!

  20. Interesting list. Seems you can tell a lot about a person from just those seven questions. They would make a good job interview.

    1. I'm actually now thinking I might have my kids (students) do something similar, although their answers to places they have lived will likely be more limited. Yes, it would make a good job interview, wouldn't it?

    1. Huh, each to their own. ;) My mom used to make German chocolate cake. Unbelievably, I wasn't all that fond of it. Maybe it's the coconut?

  22. I enjoyed reading about you. I like Nova Scotia and enjoyed visiting Port Royal – I liked it also when it was called Acadie. Such painful history though, was told all about it in Lafayette, Louisiana. How about a Greek salad with Retsina wine?

    1. I've never been to Louisiana. I do know that Acadians ended up going there, though.
