It was 20 years before I could eat broccoli again. Now I'm back to loving it and the smell doesn't bother me. Firstly I can't imagine not liking tomatoes...I'd never have pizza, spaghetti, salsa...I feel bad for your son! :) I remember canned everything growing up, lots of dry heaves and spitting out veggies while unseen. Terrible stuff. Now unfortunately I have so many food allergies, I can't handle any raw fruit or veggie, berries being the exception. I can't digest any peel/skin except potatoes and sweet potatoes. I love cooked fruits. Most veggies (raw or cooked) give me nausea and stomach cramps. I can eat my own lettuce, herbs and tomatoes (if I peel them). When I was in my 20's I was a juicer, I could eat all fruits and veggies, but after burning out and being on those horrid pharmaceuticals, my entire physiology changed. Talk about my life story lol....are you sorry you asked??? ;)Rain https://www.blogger.com/profile/14377719049819222133noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2372726504543914139.post-10630240022879147982021-07-25T18:54:07.357-04:002021-07-25T18:54:07.357-04:00The only one that I really can't stand is okra...The only one that I really can't stand is okra. This week when I saw the price of baby spinach, it did not go in the basket, but a bag of "cooking" spinach did $7.49 vs $3.99 ... it's getting baked in sauce so I'm sure there's no difference. Oh those packages of frozen spinach that had to be squeezed dry - oh the horror! I now purchase frozen spinach nuggets, perfect to add to any sauce (except gravy) :)Patio Postcardshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04491809927236242223noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2372726504543914139.post-71937580891308589972021-07-20T21:21:53.659-04:002021-07-20T21:21:53.659-04:00Love all veggies, and okra makes the best soup, wh...Love all veggies, and okra makes the best soup, where one doesn’t notice the slime so much. The closest I would come would probably be zucchini because I've tried cooking it dozens of ways and it still doesn't have any flavor. Matter of fact, this is the first year I DIDN'T grow it in the garden, so there! The only thing my husband doesn't like is eggplant (I love it) but he will grudgingly eat it.
